Medallion Winner

The finder of the 2012 Spicer WinterFest Medallion has claimed his $500 prize!

Chris Adams from Willmar found the Medallion after the first clue on Saturday. He said he looked for about 3 hours, starting in the obvious places in the parks near Green Lake since the clue referenced seeing water. As he was driving he noticed the Lion Shelter bench on the bike path north of the post office. He said he saw several tracks there so others had searched there but he was the one to find the medallion attached to the underside of the seat.

Congratulations Chris!

Thanks to everyone that played along.

Be sure to check out our events calendar, we have more fun planned for this weekend. See you Saturday for the PLUNGE!

First Clue for the Medallion Hunt!

Does it finally feel like winter to you? Yep, me too. And just in time for Spicer's Winterfest! The fun gets started today. There will be free hot chocolate and horse & buggy rides at Saulsbury Beach today at 3:00. And there will be a bon fire and fireworks tonight at 7:00.

But I bet the reason you are reading this post is to learn the first clue to the 2nd annual Winterfest Medallion hunt.

So here's the deal
It's a $500 cash prize, located within the city limits of Spicer, do not enter private property to look for the medallion, you do not need to dig, climb or move anything to find the medallion. The person finding the 2012 Medallion should present it in person to Stacey Ryan, Spicer Commercial Club member, at the Green Lake Bible Camp (320) 295-2032 between 9:00am – 4:00pm Mon – Fri. See the Spicermn.com blog for the full list of available clues.

****Ok, OK and the clue is*******

Clue Sponsored by: Melissa Radel, State Farm Insurance
